Flank Pain A 62-year-old man
presented with right upper flank pain. Mild leukocytosis and fever was
present. His BP was 152/97. He stated that he had had the same symptoms
periodically through the years but never sought medical attention
because “it always goes away.” However, he stated that this episode was
worse and therefore he sought medical attention. X-ray disclosed a
dilated renal pelvis and the presence of a large stone. An image from a
similar case is shown below. |
